Description
The Women's Leadership Collective is proud to announce our next event, A Conversation on Women and Politics.
This conversation will be hosted as a "Living Room Conversations", a format where a group of people are guided by a simple and sociable format. Participants practice being open and curious about all perspectives, with a focus on learning from one another, rather than trying to debate the topic at hand. A Living Room Conversation flows through 3 levels of questions in 3 rounds in a facilitated environment.
We are proud to have Diane Janzen, Executive Director of Chilliwack Community Services, facilitating this months' conversation, as well as Councillor Sue Attrill joining us to share with us her journey in politics.
Our hope is to have some good, robust discussion on the following questions:
- Do you believe that having women in political leadership provides a different kind of voice? Why or why not?
- Describe a powerful woman politician’s leadership moment you’ve experienced.
- Are there issues around women’s political leadership that concern you?
- What is your hope or aspiration for women in politics?
As space is limited, we are only able to accomodate the first 25 registrants.
